The year 7 and a year 8 Athletics Team attended Harvey Haddon Stadium to complete in the Gedling Schools Partnership Athletics Championships on 24th June. All seven schools in the Borough were represented; with 2 athletes from each school competing in all athletic events.
Arnold Hill students displayed both excellent behaviour and outstanding performances in a number of events. We came away Winners of Y7 Girls Team Event, and third placed in both the Y7 Boys Team Event and Y8 Boys Team Event!
The appearance of the sun has provided warmth to enjoy the lunchtime period. The pictures show our children enjoying their lunchtime in a relaxed fun and friendly way – so typical of lunchtimes at Arnold Hill. It is always a pleasure to walk around the fields to see our youngsters taking part in sporting and recreational activities or, just simply sitting down together in friendship groups to chat.
The temporary 6th Form facility has now been completed and is ready to welome students. This new facility is fantastic and provides greater space for relaxation and leisure. There is more dining space and a private study area with IT equipment.
Our Year 13 students just can't bear to say goodbye! The sixth form council have already planned a formal dinner dance for staff and students in July. Students then decided to say goodbye the traditional way, with a picnic. Our students will be making their own routes to very different destinations..university, foundation courses, employment, here and abroad. Good Luck everybody, you will be missed by staff and students alike!
