Three bands from Arnold Hill School delighted carnival goers with a forty minute set comprising mostly of original material. The bands were given the opportunity after being placed at the school’s 6th annual gig night.
Taking to the stage first were The Reverb who belted through their particular brand of catchy ditties which were ideally suited to summer sun. Next The Hit Parade entertained the crowd with their Brit Pop influenced anthems. Finally Doctor So and X-Rays belted through their set culminating in a their signature tune ‘I is a Gangster’.

Connor and several other cadets from his Squadron (138 [1st Nottingham] Air Cadet Squadron) have been chosen to represent them at the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) at RAF Fairford from 15 – 20 July 2010. This is an excellent opportunity for Connor where he will be assisting in a variety of tasks from providing assistance in the Media Village, Public Grandstand, manning the crowd line during the air display and aircrew flight centre to providing the Guard of Honour for the Gala Dinner.
Due to demand the free E-safety course has had some new dates added. There are now places available on 8th July & 15th July.
The machinery has arrived and there is busy activity going on as the new sports complex is developed by PlayFootball. A large area of field is being excavated at the moment to make way for the seven 5-a-side floodlit pitches that will eventually take the place of the grass and mud. As part of this project is a complete relaying of the Astroturf area, now almost complete and providing a rich, lush, high-quality surface for our students and the community to enjoy.
