We are looking to appoint a highly qualified full time Teacher of Physical Education to contribute to and develop the work of this strong and successful department. We are looking for specialist teachers able to offer a broad range of skills associated with this key curriculum area. The successful candidates should be able to contribute to the teaching of PE at Key Stages 3 and 4, GCSE and Post 16 courses. This post is suitable for an NQT.

37 Hours - Term Time Only Plus 2 weeks

 

We seek to appoint an experienced Examinations Officer as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be familiar with the examinations system in secondary schools or higher education, and have proven experience in dealing with complex data entry and possess high level Word and Excel skills. A knowledge of CMIS is desirable but not essential.


The post holder will be responsible for the administration of all external and internal examination entries, co-ordination of invigilators and receipt and issue of results. You should be meticulous, methodical, well organised and able to prioritise workload whilst remaining calm under pressure. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines are equally important. The position will be term time only with flexible working during key examination periods, including 2 exam results weeks in August.

IT Support Technician - Second Line Support

(APT&C Scale 3-5 - within the range £15,153 - £20,736)

An opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic IT department at Arnold-Hill School and Technology college. The school has been developing its IT provision to the Curriculum and Administrative areas over the last 12 months and the requirement for a 2nd Line support technician has now become clear.

 

Your role will be to work within a team ensuring that the IT Systems for the Teaching & Learning and Administrative teams are available and maintained to a high standard.

 

Previous helpdesk experience with a focus on customer service and service level agreements is essential, as is a strong knowledge of Microsoft products such as Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. The applicant will be qualified to at least Microsoft Windows XP MCP level and preferably have a 2003 server MCP as well.

 

The role will be varied and include special projects as well as everyday helpdesk support. The successful applicant will occasionally be required to take a lead role in projects and be able to delegate tasks efficiently. The applicant should also be able to work as part of a team and be comfortable taking their lead from others.

 

The successful applicant will have a good knowledge of Networking concepts such as copper/optical switching, secure wireless networking, DNS/DHCP and have experience with Microsoft Exchange 2000/2003. Experience with Microsoft SQL server would be desirable but not essential.

 

The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, have a 'can do' attitude, and above all take a pride in their work.
